The House of Darkness

June 4, 2005 & June 19, 2005 History: Let me begin by
saying that one of our team members, named Jim, is the one who set up the
initial When I went to check out the 3rd bedroom, I got to the doorway and couldn’t
go inside the room. I stuck my hand in the room to feel the energy and just
after a couple of seconds, I saw this darkness come at me with a face that
snarled and then tried to bite & scratch my arm. This totally caught me off
guard and I immediately jumped back away from the room to the door. As I stood
there for a moment observing the room & looking deeper into the darkness, I
suddenly saw 4-5 dark figures standing close in the doorway of the room. This
totally shocked me as I had never witnessed anything like this before! I
quickly reached my hand inside the bedroom wall by the door and flipped on the
light. Suddenly all the dark ones disappeared into corners of the room, like
shadows running into the corners of the walls. I then flipped back off the
light and saw them start to come back out of the corners and take form again.
It wasn’t later until the sit-down that they told me that they were “From a time
long ago” and they called themselves “Minions”. There was a lot of negative
energy coming from them as well. There was also a swirling black portal up
against the back East bedroom wall & I took this as an entrance point through
which they traveled. They told me about a gate there that they were guarding
and thus one of their reasons for being in the home. I felt like in their past,
they were possibly connected to perhaps the Druid beliefs and possibly connected
to some sort of magic, but ultimately, they had their own group identity, which
was not favored by those that knew them, possibly leading up to their physical
death. They hated the light and refused to associate with anything that was
associated with the light, thus their reason for hiding when light was present.
That was about as much information as I could get from them (hope I’m not
forgetting any details) because they did not like to reveal a lot about
themselves, but enjoyed mocking us and causing confusion. Sometime during this
investigation, we recorded a low guttural evp which we have not been able to
make out yet. It is very creepy sounding though!
“Unknown When I
initially went into the home, I did know a little about the investigation. I
knew the family was experiencing haunting type activity, and some of the spirits
in the home were thought to try to scratch or hit the family members. I also
knew the home had boundaries where the activity was limited to. But I didn't
know where those boundaries existed or which rooms were affected.
When I
initially entered the home, I found myself in the living room. The energy in the
living room was fine, but ever so often, I could hear a growling coming from
within the walls toward the back of the home. Although I hadn't encountered this
type of growling before, I didn't pay much attention. Then, I began a walk
through of the home. The energy levels in the kitchen, living room, hall way,
and bathroom were fine. I entered the first bedroom and found a peaceful energy.
This is the room where the spirit Doris acted as protector. There was no real
negativity in this room ? that I could sense. I then proceeded down the hallway.
As I walked down the hallway, each step led me to a darker and more negative
energy. The second bedroom was negative in energy, but it was still okay to
enter and stand there for a few minutes. It was slightly uncomfortable, but
okay. I didn't sense any entities in the room initially, but I just felt a
negative vibe. At this time, my neck began to hurt. I then started
to enter the third bedroom. I stopped cold in my tracks. I looked into the
bedroom and felt the most negative and menacing presence. It was overwhelming. I
did not want to enter that room. I stood in the doorway for several seconds. I
hadn't even began to ?open up? psychically to see who was actually in the room;
I just knew I wanted nothing to do with going in there. It was a scary room in
the dark. It was ominous and foreboding. I turned to Christy and said I don't
want to go in there. She then confirmed my impressions. This was indeed the
dark room. I then realized I would have to try to open up psychically from
outside the room. I then saw these dark shadow entities swimming around the
room. They moved like liquid or vapor. It was very creepy. Initially, I saw
three entities standing opposite me inside the room. They were acting as
"guards" to protect the room from intruder. When we turned on the light, these
entities vaporized into the walls. It looked like they were a mist or shadow
dissolving into the wall. This was the first time I had seen anything like
that. Once the lights were turned back off, these entities took their place
guarding the room to the entrance. A fourth one then appeared from behind the
other three. They were hissing, snarling, and growling. They seemed to me to be
not quite human, but more animal in nature. When I stuck my arm in the room,
they would grab and scratch at it. They were some of the most negative and
menacing entities I have ever encountered.

residents, we can tell you we have been told that in the past, no one has rented
& stayed in this home for longer than 3 months except for this family now, who
has just passed the 4 month mark.

one in her bed when she went to lay down. Voices have also been heard,
including screaming and a melodic whistling. The oldest child talks to a young
man named Jess, but tells him not to tell his parents & grandmother because they
would send him away. When the activity increased in the home, this young child
became too terrified to play or sleep in his own room, complaining that it was
too dark. Even when his parents would keep his light on, he would still refuse
to stay in the room, insisting that he was afraid of the darkness that was in
the room.

in particular was that of the oldest child in the home who is 5 years old. Most
nights the residents of this home are so scared that they can’t even sleep at
night among other things.

Investigator's Comments:
investigation for this residence. When Jim told the group of the time & date, I
was thinking “Awesome, I can go in & investigate this location in ease & I
didn’t even have to do any of the footwork…what a deal!” Jim was also very
particular about this location since he is friends with the homeowner and
playfully told me that he “wasn’t telling me anything about this location or the
activity taking place there.” I teased back with him and said, “Good, I don’t
need to know as once I’m there, I’ll figure it out anyway!” Jim enjoyed taking
advantage of the moment by keeping me in suspense!
