History:

This home was built in the 1950’s and has been owned by the family since its beginning. The home has had no reports of death in the home or tragic events so this homeowner was curious as to why her house would be haunted. Activity noticed in the home was comprised of shadows being seen moving throughout the back part of the house, her dog staring at the walls and closet for long periods of time, things moving within the home and things being placed in different locations from their original location.

OKPRI was contacted by a friend of the homeowner to come out and do an investigation. The homeowner was unsure about having an investigative team come into the home and do an investigation because she honestly did not know what to expect or what we would find. Her original thoughts was that her deceased father was perhaps in her home, but she wasn't for sure. We arrived at the location began a walk through of the home trying to determine where we should set up the cameras. The home was fairly small so it did not take us long to set up the equipment in the home. The homeowner confirmed her friend's reported activity and so we set out to see if we could determine any possible explanation for the reported activity. Once the equipment was set up in place, we began conducting our sweeps and came up negative for emf & video, but we were able to record 5 different evp's on our audio.

Psychic Investigator's Comments:

When I first entered the home, I didn't pick up on anything right away. It wasn't until I went into the back part of the house in the front bedroom that I heard a woman's voice saying "Elenora". I tried to ignore this voice, not sure if this is what I was truly hearing. I then felt compelled to open up a small door in this bedroom where I found a small bathroom. I immediately saw an elderly woman in a wheel chair a few feet from the bathroom door's opening and saw her try to get out of the wheel chair but in her efforts, she fell on the ground and tried pulling herself back up. I told Jimmy & Kevin right then when it happened and left it at that. I spoke with the homeowner and told her that I was getting the name "Elenora" and told her the impressions that I had while in the front bedroom. The homeowner immediately broke down crying and told us that her mother's name was "Elenora" and that the front bedroom was her bedroom up until the time of her death. The homeowner also confirmed that her mother tried to be independent and would often fall out of her wheel chair while trying to get up and go to the bathroom.

Later, I received other impressions about her mother and their family which were all verified by the homeowner. Elenora's main message to her daughter was that she loved her daughter very much and was still here with her. She also wanted her daughter to know that she was in no more pain and was happy where she was at. The moment proved to be a very touching one and the homeowner was thankful that we were able to help her out. It was towards the end that we learned that Elenora was accompanied by a man named Frank who stepped forward to let us know that he thought highly of Elenora and considered her to be a close friend. He stated that he lived back in the 1800's and worked hard in a coal mine which in the end caused his death when the mine collapsed in on him and his fellow workers.
