Psychic Communication & Its Affect On EVP

Psychic Communication & EVP are always interesting topics for discussion and are areas that I feel deserve extra attention in the research field. When I first started investigating the paranormal, I found evp fascinating & it quickly became my favorite part of all positive data. I began trying to research everything I could on evp in hopes to learn more about it in order to help further my knowledge & understanding of the subject.
Our group has actually had the privilege of working with a variety of psychics while at different locations. One of the things noted about the different psychics was that each psychic utilized their gifts differently. Although some may use certain of their gifts the same, not all have the same gifts or methods for using them. This makes each individual psychic unique and allows them (myself included) to use these gifts in different areas of spirit communication. Some have stronger gifts in certain areas than what others may also have.
One might naturally assume that when a psychic is in communication with a spirit(s), that data results for positive evp would be plentiful. I thought the same until I began reviewing the audio from each investigation we did, finding out that 9 out of 10 times there was not a single bit of evp recorded while the psychic was communicating with the spirit(s) present.
This blew my mind a bit as I couldn't understand why positive evp was recorded all throughout the investigation until the point when the psychic took on open & direct communication with the spirit(s). I began to think about all the different reasons why no evp was being recorded during this time and although there is no scientific data to back up any theories on this, I formed my own theory based off my own research & experience. My theory is that 9 times out of 10, no positive evp will be recorded when a psychic is in open & direct communication with spirit(s) due to the vibration & energy levels present by both the spirit(s) AND the psychic.
I think that there are 3 basic levels of vibrations: HIGH, MEDIUM & LOW. When a psychic communicates with a spirit(s), they have to raise their vibration level. When a spirit chooses to communicate, they have to lower their vibration level while maintaining the highest level of energy possible. I believe that when a psychic & spirit communicate with each, they have to meet somewhere in the middle!
Now if there is NO psychic in communication with a spirit(s), I believe that a spirit lowers their vibration level closer to the individuals vibration level in order to communicate. A good example that I have heard would be a ceiling fan with 3 different speeds.....on high, medium & low. On HIGH, you normally cannot see the spinning fan blades moving individually. This would be the high vibration level that a spirit resides on. When a ceiling fan is on MEDIUM, it is still difficult to see each individual blade moving, but every once in a while your eyes are able to follow a blade. This would be the level that the spirit & psychic communicate on. The LOW speed of a ceiling fan is usually slow enough for our eyes to not only see each individual blade, but to also be able to follow each blade. This would be the vibration level that a spirit would most commonly use when trying to communicate with those individuals who are not psychically inclined.
It is theorized that high energy levels have to be maintained by a spirit in order for them to be seen & heard, especially if they are not in direct communication with a psychic. We can only imagine how hard this must be on the spirit to try & regulate their vibration & energy levels, thus possibly the reason why it is hard for them to manifest in form, verbally communicate and or move things in our physical plane. This needed energy can easily be understood by investigators & researchers because of their continued experience while on a locations with equipment malfunctions, battery drainage, flickering lights, quickly burned out light bulbs, physical energy drain, etc.
This leads me to believe that perhaps the reason for no recorded evp during the times when psychics are in communication with a spirit is due to the spirit's level of vibration (medium level). It would be much easier for them to have to only lower their vibration from high to medium to communicate with the psychic, rather than having to lower it all the way down to low in order to communicate with those that are not psychically inclined by interacting with equipment present, manifesting or the act of moving physical objects, etc. By keeping their vibration level on medium, they would use less energy by choosing to communicate with just the psychic.
A neat thing happened back in 2002 when myself & a few other investigators (3 of us which were psychically incline), conducted an investigation of a residence. (See Meeko's House under "Investigations") We were still researching my theory and decided that when we did the investigation, we weren't going to communicate with any spirit(s) if they were present in the home in order to see if we could get them to react with our equipment first. Eventually if our attempts were not successful throughout the investigation with this experiment, we would then open up communication at the end of the investigation in order to give any spirit(s) a chance to communicate in case their energy levels were to low to do this.
Our methods proved successful as we had a meter activation on the Gauss Meter (which had no battery) and recorded a drop in temperature in on the rooms. Later on one of the investigators was reviewing audio and came across an evp that said "Oh no, they're psychic!" What is also fascinating about this evp is that it was recorded 10 minutes into the investigation so we found it unique since this was during the time that we agreed there would be no psychic communication.
I mentioned earlier with my theory that in my experiences while investigating/researching locations, 9 times out of 10 no evp would be recorded during the time a psychic was in open & direct communication with a spirit. The reason I left the percentage chance open is because of one particular time when we were investigating a residential location (See NW OKC Residence in "Investigations"). We were conducting a sit down and it was during this time an interesting conversation piece was recorded which correlated with the psychic's (my) conversation with the spirit producing positive evp. In my conversation with this young male, I asked him his name and heard him say "Kaleb". I verbally asked him "Is your name Caleb?" If you listen to the audio, "Conversation piece" you hear this young male say, "Caleb". I also heard him say "What if it is?" When the audio is played back, you hear him say, "What if it is?". The whole time I am in communication with this "Caleb", I am verbally telling my team members what he is saying so they will know what he was telling me. Correlating data with psychic impression & communication is VERY RARE so this audio clip is quite AWESOME! Hopefully this example has helped explain my reasons for the 9 out of 10 ratio I gave earlier.
Naturally there will always be gray areas which are not understood, especially with the paranormal field. The same would apply with science, as there are things not known, resulting in scientist exploring different areas of research in order to establish facts & knowledge about a particular subject. During this research time, scientists form their own thoughts & theories about the areas they are studying until facts & evidence can be produced to prove their theories correct or incorrect.
Most skeptics will tell you that there is no actual way to measure paranormal phenomenon by scientific standards, so we as paranormal researchers do what we can by collecting data and forming our own theories based on our research & experience. It is from this research & experience that we are able to form our theories and come to conclusions that we feel are as close to the truth as possible. Of course no one will ever know the exact truth until we are on the other side, but until that happens, we can try to learn what we can in hopes to further our knowledge & understanding of the paranormal realm.
