The Runner House

History: This residential home was fashioned and built after the 1950's styled model homes that you would often see in some of Hollywood's movies. Cozy and room, this home was made for families who preferred a stylish lifestyle with all the comforts of home. The current homeowners contacted us concerning strange activity taking place in and around their home. In addition to this, the homeowners were also experiencing movement of items in their home, their electronic devices being turned off and on, shadows moving about and a couple of apparitions, one of a man and one of a little girl. One of the biggest concerns for the homeowners is the trouble with their youngest daughter, who had a bruise that appeared on her body. When they asked how she got the bruise, she told them that "the ghosts did it." There was another incident where the homeowners walked into the bedroom and saw the youngest daughter spitting at the air. They asked her what she was doing and she said that she "was spitting at the ghost because it had made her mad." One of the most strangest things that was taking place was the unique images that their outside security cameras had been picking up. The homeowners had a collection of odd shaped white images appearing on their video surveillance and they could find no explanation for the images. below we will show some of these strange white images.
Team 2 also ran across some interesting things while conducting their investigation. They heard audible voices as well as witnessed the same shadow phenomenon that team 1 had noticed. They also said that they felt like they were being followed and were being confronted by an unknown source. During their sweep, they also heard what appeared to sound like a piano key note being struck, but there was no one near the piano whenever they heard the sound. It was during this time that one of Team 2's investigators took these photos in the living room. Please note that during the time that these photographs were taken, there were no lights on at all. We were also told by the homeowners that there was a couple that had died in the home, but there wasn't much information known about them other than this. Strangely enough, we were able to record on the 2nd level of this home, an evp that we believe to be from the male (from the couple which which either died in the home or around the home.) In this audio clip you will hear a male say, "Please help me." This was recorded also during the time when Christy was picking up on a couple downstairs and there she had made a comment saying that she felt like there was a couple there in the home and she felt like they were asking for help. In conclusion of the investigation, we were able to verify information with the homeowners about the activity taking place and we let them know that we felt like they had a mild haunting taking place and we offered some suggestions.
This investigation was a neat one for me because it dealt with one spirit in particular which seemed to be the most domineering out of the others that were there. Ironically that is one of the reasons this investigation was named "The Runner" because of this one spirit who had chosen to stay at this residence where he lost his life from a tragic car crash while in a high speed chase with the police. I felt like this individual had a lot of anger issues because of his death as he felt like he was not ready to go when his life was taken from him. He made it very clear to me while there that he had no good intentions for being there in the home and his motives for being there were selfish in nature. I picked up on him as being a bit mischievous and strong willed. Anita and I were on separate teams while conducting the investigation and both of us picked up on this black man lingering about in the house. I also picked up on a couple down on the bottom level who told me that they were unsure of what they were doing there and that they wanted help. I first picked up on a woman who came through first and then her husband which also came through asking for help. I think they were a bit confused as to what had happened to them and they were a bit unhappy in their current state.

When
the homeowners contacted us, they submitted to us the above surveillance photos
and we were of course intrigued by the activity that had be reported to be taken
place so we set out on the road to travel to this residential location.
When we arrived at this location, we began to set up some equipment and then did
a walk through of the location before starting
our sweeps. During the time that we were setting up our equipment, we
recorded an evp saying,
It
wasn't until later after speaking with the homeowners, we learned that several
years back there was a black male who had been running from the police at high
speeds which caused him to loose control of his vehicle as he tried to turn
right onto the next street since the street he was traveling ended up dead
ending into this residential yard. Unfortunately his high speeds enabled
him to safely turn and he ended up crashing into the corner of the house where
he died on impact. Corey was wearing an old duty belt and a pair of BDU
pants which is the same style of what is worn by many law enforcement officers
while in casual duty attire. We believe that this particular spirit was
targeting Corey a bit that night because he resembled a police officer, much
like those that had chased him that fatal night of his death. We also feel
like this might have been a possibility as well since Corey is a former police
officer. While investigating, we were able to record this evp that we
believe to be this male spirit and after reviewing this clip, we believe he was
directing his comment towards Corey as well. In this audio clip ( evp )
