Oklahoma Paranormal Research & Investigations invites you

to the 2nd Annual Oklahoma Paranormal Conference on the River:

"Para-Float 2008"

Coming June 20th -22nd 2008!!!


 

Tired of the same old paranormal conferences?  Well here's a change!  Mark your calendars and be ready for a paranormal conference that's actually FUN & EXCITING!  This event will be for serious paranormal teams, folks interested in the field or people who just have questions.  You don't have to be a member of a group to attend!  Come one, come all, all ages are welcome!  Listen to informative seminars, guest speakers, ask questions of the professionals and get to meet members of your paranormal community and that's not all!  We’ll be floating the river by day and then getting serious about the paranormal towards the evening when the speakers start sharing their experiences and giving information around the campfire that is not only informative & insightful, but enjoyable as well.  OKPRI has a reserved area for this event so if you plan to attend, you must make your reservation with OKPRI and pay the $10.00 per person admission fee. Those attending will be given a ticket for their vehicle & persons to enter the reserved area as it will be roped off and open to Para-Float guests only!  It is requested you make your reservations with us at least 1 week prior to the event!  Please do so by calling Christy at: (405) 922-2198, or by e-mail to:  parafloat2008@okpri.com.


Please note that OKPRI has an area reserved for this event so if you plan on coming, you must notify us to let us know that you plan on attending Para-Float 2008 and pay your $10.00 per person admission fee so we can hold a spot for you. Those attending will be given a ticket for their vehicle & persons to enter the reserved area as it will be sectioned and roped off and opened to Para-Float guests only! While we are encouraging everyone to attend, we also want to make sure that this event is not interrupted by outside parties that are not associated with Para-Float 2008! Due to the reservations, we need to know who all will be attending this even so we will need to know that you are coming at least 2 weeks prior to the event! so if you plan on attending, either give us a call at: (405) 922-2198 (Christy) or send us an email to: parafloat2008@okpri.com so we can put you on our list and send you your tickets via e-mail!

Additional Information: 

***There will be vendors present that will be selling food and drinks for a low cost (or you can bring your own).  We will also have an area where other paranormal groups that are attending can set up their own table to sale items that they have or just to bring some paranormal insight to those who wish to stop in and talk to them.  If you are a paranormal group that wishes to set up a table or if you do not belong to a paranormal group but have items that you would like to sale at this event, please let us know and if approved, we will reserve a spot for you.  You will need to bring your own table however as we are limited on the number of tables that we will have there.

                                                                                        Itinerary:

 Friday Night: We will be opening the gate and taking reserved tickets into Para-Float at 7pm. We will then be settling into the campground and when it starts to get dark, everyone can get to know each other around a "Paranormal Campfire," hosted by OKPRI. Do you have a ghost story you want to share? This would be the perfect time to do it!

Saturday: This will be even better as we set out to float the river on a 6 mile float trip from Approx. 9am-4:00pm. After the float, we will then have dinner and settle down for the infamous conference with a special presentation from OKPRI and then from our special guest speakers who will dazzle you with their knowledge and impress you with their presentations as well! We will have a free jump bounce set up for children of all ages to help keep them entertained while the adults enjoy the conference as well as raffles for prices and a few booths set up for venders for food, drinks and for paranormal items up for grabs!. After the conference we will once again have a fun around a "Paranormal Campfire" as we wind down the exciting evening!!!

Sunday:  Pack up and head back home!

Cost:  $10.00 a person for admission plus $4 per person a night for camping if paid in advance.  Free admission for children 12 and under however there is still a $4 charge a piece for camping.  Advanced payments can be paid to OKPRI by Pay-Pal at: okpri@okpri.com  (Add $2 additional for paypal services) or by money order made out to OKPRI and sent to:  P.O. Box 83152, OKC, OK  73148.  All those who pay in advance will receive a confirmation e-mail along with a ticket as long as a return e-mail address and/or return mailing address is left with their payment.  Please make sure mailed payments arrive at least one week prior to event to insure that it is received in time.  If pre-registration payment is not made before to the event, admission to Para-Float will be $15 a person plus $4 per person a night for camping and can be paid at the entrance of the Para-Float event.  Please remember that the $10.00/$15.00 admission fee and $4 per person camping fee is for the Para-Float Conference and you’re camping only -- All those attending the conference will be responsible for the rental fees for their floating.  A dinner on Saturday night will be offered at a very low price to all Para-Float guests.  Below is a detailed list of those prices: 


Tent Camping:  The Arrowhead Resort charges $4 a night per person (This $4 is part of the pre-registration fee)

 Prices for Floating the River for 6 mile float:

***Children must be 2 years old and up to be on the river***

All parties floating the river must also sign a liability release wavier

Canoe Rental: $19.00 per person (Kids 10 & under riding 3rd party $6.25 each. Children 2-6 years old must be accompanied by an adult.)

Rafts: 4-Man, 6-Man & 9-Man Rafts: $20.00 per person (kids 2-10 get ½ off price.)

1-Man & 2-Man Kayaks: 1-Man: $23.00 per person 2-Man: $22.00 per person

(For safety, children must be at least 10 years of age and up to be in a kayak.)
