Meet the OKPRI Team!

Kathy OKPRI 23.heic

My name is Kathy. I am the researcher and historian for OKPRI.

My name is Kathryn Wickham (Kathy) and I am the historian and researcher for Oklahoma Paranormal Research and Investigations. I joined OKPRI in November 2011. I am originally from New England and the Boston area and moved several times before settling in Oklahoma in 2010. I have always had a curiosity about the after-life since growing up around a lot of history and ghost stories. I started ghost-hunting and historical research in the summer of 2009 while living in central Florida. I had joined a prominent state-wide investigation team and began my experiences with seeking answers to the paranormal.

I am also a Registered Nurse. I served 10-years in the Air Force nurse corps with four of those years on active duty and separated in 2011. I currently live in the Oklahoma City metro area with my husband, our two children and two loyal pets. I have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and a Master’s degree in nursing education from the University of Oklahoma.

My goal is to find the truth about paranormal activity through evidence-based research using scientific methods, exploring theories and networking with others in the field. My mission is to help those who are frightened by their experiences in understanding the paranormal or to logically explain the activity they are experiencing.

Anyone can prove a haunting... it is in the search to rule-out alternative explanations that we find the strongest evidence.
