General Information

Investigators: Christy, Ashley and TJ

Equipment used: Sony video camcorder, personal audio recorders, digital cameras and various EMF meters

Initial Interview:

Everyone in the home has experienced activity in one way or another.

Oldest daughter woke in the middle of the night to the sound of her bedroom door opening. She raised her head to see who was coming into the room & reports seeing a short gray apparition with its back to her closing the door.
The youngest daughter visited to the home one afternoon & claims to have seen a white “fuzzy” apparition in the master bedroom of the home. She was frightened & immediately left the house. She stated that as she was pulling away from the front drive, the same white apparition she had seen in the back of the house was standing at the large front window.
This same daughter stated that her husband was hit in the head with a pillow by an unseen force.
The homeowner has seen shadows dart around the house on several occasions. She described this shadow as being the size of a large house cat.
Everyone has heard voices & unexplained sounds and the family cat has been known to act strange, but they are unsure of the causes of its behavior.

There have been no deaths in this home.

Historical/Factual/Relevant Info:

The house was built in 1956 by the owner’s parents & has remained in the family since that time. It is unknown what was on the land or how it was used prior to the home being built. The activity is believed to have started approximately 4 years ago when the current resident acquired the house.

Investigation Report

Client Interview

Our team arrived at the location and began the initial interview with the homeowners. After the interview, the client gave us a tour of the home to show the known areas of activity. Right before the in-home interview was conducted and as Christy and Ashley got the necessary paperwork together with the homeowner, TJ was engaged in small talk with the homeowner’s son-in-law. As he and TJ talked, TJ’s digital recorder caught a response "I know" to a statement he made.

Walkthrough and Sweeps

Our team began the walkthrough and sweeps. We started in the kitchen and living room area. Ashley was re-entering the living room from the kitchen area when Christy heard a noise from the kitchen area of the house. Christy began to inquire about the sound and who if anyone had emitted said sound. Ashley and TJ stated they had been silent and were not the source of the sound. Upon review of audio, it was a "Hey" that sounded like it came from a small child. During this time we also recorded an evp saying, "why," as if the ghost couldn't understand why we were there and why were setting up some equipment.

Ashley was taking photographs in the back bedroom area and thought she had captured something paranormal but it was ruled out.

Nothing else of paranormal interest occurred during the walkthrough and sweeps.

Sit-Down

We did our sit-down in the living room area and did have a interesting phenomenon happen with our ghost light being activated. We attempted to communicate with the spirit using the ghost light and were able to witness the light turning on once. Our continued requests to have the spirit activate the light were unfortunately met with no results. As we urged her to turn on the light to give us proof that her presence, the spirit (speaking through Christy) didn’t understand why we needed her to turn on the light as she knew we already knew of her presence, but we didn’t have any luck convincing her to turn it on for us. Throughout our conversations with the ghost along side the client,

the client confirmed that her mother was in fact a stubborn in life, so the responses or lack thereof were no surprise to her about her not turning on our light. There was some mention from the client about how her mother used to discipline them when they were children and strangely enough, our audio recorder captured an evp saying, "Oh lord"

Towards the end of the “sit-down”, the homeowner asked for a hug in which “mama” agreed to. Moments after this, the homeowner commented that her back and arms suddenly got very cold; a sign that "mama" was hugging her baby girl.

Towards the end of the investigation, this home was very peaceful, & the entire team stated how calm & secure they felt thought the investigation. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time in this home & with the client, & we were glad we could provide her some answers.

Conclusion:

We feel that this family has a mild haunting going on but we feel like the spirit that is in the home is that of the deceased mother so there is no threat or concern taking place within the home. We have based our conclusion on information we received during our investigation which was also verified through the current homeowner (daughter). The homeowner was told us that her mother indeed used to have a recliner in the house that she sat in all the time. After her passing, they were forced to throw it away due to its deteriorating condition. A family bible also used to be displayed on a table in the living room but had been put away in recent years. The homeowner also recalled a description of her father’s belt in which he used for discipline when she was a child. The spirit conveyed that she felt there needed to be a bit more discipline in the home with the minor children and she referenced to the old worn black leather belt.

Psychic Investigator’s Comments

When I first walked into this home I felt very peaceful and comforted. The house had a very pleasant atmosphere and was one that you could quite easily feel fright at home in. Upon doing my walk-thru in the back part of the house in the bedroom right off of the kitchen, I picked up on an older woman in her late 60’s or early 70’s. I heard the song “Rock of Ages Clef for Me” and I felt like this woman liked the song very

much. After speaking with the homeowner, she advised us that two of her mother’s favorite songs were “Amazing Grace” and “Rock of Ages.”

As I continued my walk-thru into the other bedrooms in the home, this elderly woman began asking about her chair and she began rocking back and forth as if to suggest the chair was a rocking recliner. She also asked about a large family Bible that was no longer sitting out in the living room. She then showed me a worn black leather belt and told me that there needed to e more discipline in the home. She complained about her hands bothering her and she showed me her right hand which appeared to be very arthritic causing her to have large knuckles.

I asked her if she had a specific message for her daughter and she told me to mention the things she told me about (chair, Bible and belt) and told me, “But before you tell her anything, tell her not to cry because I am doing fine and I am happy.”

I relayed all the information to the homeowner and she felt very relieved to know it was her mother. During the sit-down we were able to verify additional information that the client revealed to us about her mother.
